1) Database and Data Management Specialist
We are looking for a Database and Data Management Specialist to support our Burkina Faso based grants.
The Database and Data Management Specialist will support the Government of Burkina Faso in developing a Minimum Digital Ecosystem wherein all health-related digital tools will be rolled out across two pilot districts. The Specialist will work closely with Cooper/Smith’s technical team to ensure the development of a data visualization tool and appropriate capacity building for the MOH. Additionally, the Specialist will use a user-centered design approach to design and develop dashboards to be used for decision making across various levels of the health system.
Duration: This is a 6-12 month full-time position.
Location: Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso

2) Open Concept Lab Specialist
We are looking for an Open Concept Lab Specialist to support our Burkina Faso based grants.
The Open Concept Lab Specialist will support the Sectoral Statistics Department (DSS) and Cooper/Smith to modernize the national health information system (SNIS) metadata administration by implementing an electronic terminology management platform. The DSS has chosen to use Open Concept Lab (OCL), an open-source system that enables real-time electronic access to terminology resources and direct integration with independent software platforms. We are seeking a software engineer who is well-versed in OCL and capable of developing and deploying healthcare terminologies using the platform. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of OCL and its features.
Duration: This is a 5 month consultancy.
